In 1964, The Atlanta University Center, Inc. was incorporated as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization to provide services and programs to its member institutions. These institutions share a unique bond as members of the AUC, Inc. and a common mission providing quality education for African Americans and other students of diverse backgrounds. The AUC is located in the West End Historic District that evolved from a “crossroads” community to a “center city” neighborhood that represents the very spirit of “Atlanta – The Phoenix City.”

The Atlanta University Center (AUC), Inc. is the administrative corporation for a world-class consortium.

The AUC, Inc. is organized to implement and manage all center-wide collaborative efforts in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
