The Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUCC) Career Planning and Placement Service (CPPS) began in 1966 through a collaboration of business, academic and civic leaders. Its mission then, as it is now, is to provide a centralized operation, which all AUC students can utilize to prepare for career and educational opportunities from hundreds of corporations, government agencies and graduate professional schools who have established relationships with the AUC.
The Career Planning and Placement Service of the Atlanta University Center Consortium is committed to providing the student body of member institutions with access to accurate and current information and resources to facilitate their education, career and job search. Through a commitment to excellence and by serving as a centralized body through which reputable and established corporations, non-profit organizations, government agencies and graduate professional schools can meet with AUC students for the purpose of hiring and the pursuit of post-graduate admissions our mission is accomplished. Over the past 4 decades, the AUCC CPPS has had students, alumni, family, and friends tell of the success they have had in their careers as a result of the AUCC CPPS operation. It is clear that much of that success is a function of the relationships and support that the AUCC CPPS has received from the many corporations and organizations it has partnered with. Alumni who have graduated from AUC schools can be found in every sector of professional life here in the U.S. and abroad.
